Care of Giclée prints
Giclée prints hold their colours for far longer than standard prints, lasting for well over 100 years plus.
I would still avoid or limit placing prints in direct sunlight. Always handle your Giclée print wearing cotton gloves, and try avoid touching the print itself. If you don’t have gloves, make sure you have clean, dry hands, and do not touch the ink. Always hold the print by it’s edges and try not bend the print.
All Giclées naturally ‘curl’. To uncurl a print: Place the print on a flat, clean surface away from direct sunlight and leave the protective tissue paper over the print. Place a large book, or another heavy object on each ends of the print. After a few hours the print should become nice and flat, ready for framing.
